The thing about me collecting figures in the beginning was that I wanted to collect figures on characters that I like the most. That’s why I have both Mikuru and Yoko figures on my desk right now. When I received my figma Saber 3 months’ back, Xerxes Lim actually asked me whether I wanted the Nagato Yuki figure by Alter. At first I was reluctant, but I remember reading Gordon’s post about the same figure, and decided to get it. And I wasn’t disappointed one bit.

When I was interviewed by Xerxes Lim of Dreamerz Collections regarding my freelance figure review writing, I was asked about my abilities on writing reviews. While he looked through my past reviews on the now-defunct Utter Randomness blog, I explained to him that I will rewrite my reviews when I move to this new site. I wanted to have more pictures and proper reviews as well as being a little bit neutral in them. So, he asked me to write two reviews for him as a test to prove my ability in writing; one is a review on Max Factory’s Nendoroid Plus Kemeko and the other is Enterbrain’s Yoko Ritona. Since I already owned Yoko, I can do a proper review on her.

The thing is, I have a agreement with Lim on one thing: whenever I want to post a review on the item that he asks me to write, in which the item is the one that I also owned, I have to link the review back to his site (which will be launched soon). Therefore, I will only post photos on the figure itself here as well as my personal opinion on it, while you can read the thorough review at his site. Hope you can bear with me on that! ^^

Ever since this site was born, I decided to do more comprehensive figure reviews than before. I mean, most of my reviews before were meager, so I decided to write my review as professional as how I do when I’m writing for Dreamerz Collections. Well, I did state in Danny Choo that I was a “Freelance Figure Review Writer”, so better put that name to good use! And since I’ve just got my new DSLR, better take some good shots for the review as well!

Since I’ve got my job up and running with Dreamerz Collections, I better be off to setting up my own studio. The thing is, I can’t afford getting an expensive studio due to space constraint and a tight pocket! So, I bumped into this tutorial (thanks, Jeffry Bail!) and build myself one.
